Manufactured from thermoplastic polyurethane, this bumper provides protection for the Kuka SmartPad KRC-4 if accidentally dropped.

Safepend® bumper is immune to water, most water-based cleaning agents as well as many industrial coolants and cutting fluids. Provides durable protection against drops and bumps. Raised edges protect SmartPad KRC-4 and touch screen.

The bumper is custom-molded to the SmartPad’s exterior shape and features a “stretch-to-fit” installation (akin to a cell phone sleeve). Protective ridges are molded around rotary switches and e-stop buttons but do not interfere with their operation. 6-axis mouse function is preserved. Access to deadman switches on the back of the SmartPad is unencumbered. Access to the USB port on the back of the smartPAD is also preserved.

The bumper is aggressively textured to maintain positive grip/feel in wet conditions or in the presence of lubricants/coolants. The energy-absorbing frame is slotted throughout for weight-savings, and to reduce the surface tension and accumulation of fluids.
